Belcan Wins 2018 Pratt & Whitney Supplier Productivity Innovation Award

Belcan LLC (“Belcan”), a global supplier of engineering, supply chain, technical recruiting, and information technology (IT) services supporting the aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, and government services markets, announced today that for the second consecutive year, the company has been selected as a recipient of the 2018 Pratt & Whitney Supplier Productivity Innovation Award. This is the seventh award that Belcan has received from Pratt & Whitney in the last eight years, a testament to Belcan’s highly-valued contributions to Pratt & Whitney’s success as part of their enduring relationship.
Belcan’s President of Engineering, Neal Montour, accepted the award on behalf of the Belcan team at the Pratt & Whitney Supplier Summit. “Belcan’s commitment to innovation and value creation is a result of our performance-driven culture and class-leading service offerings for our customers,” Montour said. “I am very proud of our team for continually providing high quality, cost-effective solutions to Pratt & Whitney.”
“Belcan’s commitment to driving change and continuously delivering better solutions to Pratt & Whitney through value added innovations contributes to the continued advancement and quality of our products, while allowing Pratt & Whitney to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace,” said Mahesh Patel, Director, Global Engineering Sourcing, Pratt & Whitney.
“We are very proud of our team’s accomplishments; they more than doubled the savings value from the prior year. Our deep knowledge of the P&W product line and understanding of their business needs allowed these innovation savings to be aimed where they were needed the most – helping P&W deliver a high-quality product on time while reducing their overall cost,” said Steve Houghtaling, Senior Vice President of Belcan’s UTC Account.
The award was based on Belcan’s 2018 achievements, including 15 productivity improvements and three cost avoidances. Belcan also won the award as a result of its commitment to initiatives such as internal award programs, internal and external training programs, technical mentoring efforts, teaming endeavors, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) outreach.
